| 5. What is the process for making an appointment? | ·
Miss Heidis
personal and business beliefs subscribe to the idea of freedom. As such,
she offers all of the artists here the luxury of being independent contractors,
so they are responsible for their own scheduling. You will find both studio
and personal contact info for each of them on the Contact
page. That being said, our staff is more than willing to accommodate you,
and assist you with setting up appointments. · You do not need an appointment for piercings. However, its first-come, first-serve, so if you dont have time to wait we suggest you make an appointment. · You do not necessarily need an appointment for simple tattoo designs but we do recommend calling first to ensure there is an artist available, as we are primarily a busy, custom, by appointment-only studio. · To make an appointment with one of our artists you must first decide with whom youd like to work (check out our online portfolios or stop by to review in-house portfolios and meet our staff of highly-qualified and ridiculously-kind artists.) Ideally, you have done your homework and will provide reference to serve as a starting point for your design vision, but each of our artists is eager to assist you in designing your tattoo. Next, we require a non-refundable deposit (either $20 or $50, depending on the design, which can be paid in person or via the phone) and you must complete the paperwork required by the health department and our studio. At that point we schedule an appointment for you. · The deposit covers the drawing, and holds your appointment, and is deducted from the total price of the tattoo, not in addition to. · We typically have a very fast turnaround time for the initial drawing to be completed, which you review before the day of your appointment. Obviously, tattoos are permanent so we want you to be completely in love with your design before it is forever on your body. |
| 6. What if I need to cancel or reschedule my appointment? | Your deposit will be forfeited in a no-call, no-show situation, and will no longer be applied toward the tattoo, so please call us at least 24 hours before your appointment time and we will happily reschedule you. If you would like an earlier appointment we will place you on the Call List and contact you in the event that an opening becomes available. |
| 7. How do I take care of my tattoo and/or piercing? | Miss Heidis Tattoo does not believe in a blanket approach to healing because each persons skin and immune system is different. So, we will discuss aftercare on an individual basis. That being said, most people respond quite well to the tattoo and piercing aftercare that she designed as part of the Miss Heidis Living Well Line, which is entirely organic. Please visit our online store for complete product information. |
| 8. Is there anybody you will not tattoo or pierce? | Yes. Miss Heidis Tattoo is staffed with professional, friendly and open-minded individuals, so we treat each client equally as well, regardless of sex, race, religion, sexual orientation or hat size. However, we will not work with anybody who is drunk or otherwise under the influence, and while we respect every persons right to their opinion, we simply will not welcome anybody into our studio who is in any way being hateful toward our staff or other clients. We do have the right to refuse service to anybody. |
| 9. Do you tattoo and/or pierce minors? |
There
are conditions that are simply non-negotiable. They are: You must be
at least 16 years of age to get a tattoo or piercing. If you are under
18 you and your legal guardian MUST physically come to the shop, pick
up a Parental Consent Form for Tattooing or Piercing, and have it notarized.
To do so you will need: Parent/Guardian State Issued ID (Drivers
License, DMV ID Card), Minor State Issued ID (Drivers License,
DMV ID Card). |
| 10. Can I download, or will you e-mail, the Parental Consent Form for Tattooing or Piercing? | Sorry, but no. You must physically come to the studio to fetch the form. |
| 11. Are tattoos and piercings safe? | No, neither is safe unless you go to a studio that not only strives but achieves excellence in sterilization procedures. Miss Heidis Tattoo is nearly obsessive about cleanliness, and we proudly pass each Orange County Health Department inspection with flying colors, and exceed many of their requirements. We use only the best, regularly-certified sterilization and cleansing equipment, and all tubes and needles are opened in front of each client so you know what is being used on you is 100% sterile. We encourage you to ask questions regarding our sterilization process, and our up-to-date records are always available for your review. |
| 12. What form of payment do you accept? | Cash, Visa and Mastercard. We do not accept checks, American Express, Discover or trades. |
| 13. How often do you have art exhibits? | Beginning October 1, 2009, Miss Heidis will be having monthly art shows, with a portion of the proceeds going to various charities. We have had handsome turnouts in the past, and provide a high-end yet non-snobby environment to showcase local artists work. Please contact Pam or Madame Karen for more information, and/or check back under our Fine Art Gallery section for periodic updates. |
| 14. I didnt find the answer to my question here.
